British Hairdressing Awards Photography

Your collection should show more than what you can do with hair. It should express your ideas, your identity and the work you want to be known for.

I work with hairdressers and salon teams to create British Hairdressing Awards collections, bringing together creative direction, lighting and photography to give each look its place within a coherent series. In 2026, I photographed 24 collections, with 18 reaching the finals.

Whether it’s your first entry or your next collection, we’ll work closely together to make sure the hair remains the focus.

A collection that feels like you

You might arrive with a fully developed concept, a few references or simply an idea you want to explore. We’ll look at the direction together and consider how the hair, casting, styling, makeup and photography can support it.

My role is to help translate your vision into photographs, finding the angles, lighting and framing that show the work clearly while giving the collection its own character.

Selected 2026 BHA Finalist Collections

From the first conversation to the final images

Before the shoot, we’ll discuss your category, ideas, budget and deadline. We’ll work through what you need for the day, including the team, location and the images you want to create.

On set, we’ll review the photographs together as we go, paying attention to the shape, colour, texture and detail of the hair, as well as how the images work alongside each other.

Afterwards, I’ll help you select a consistent final series and discuss the finishing required, with retouching planned around the relevant competition rules.

Entering for the first time?

You don’t need to have produced an awards collection before, or have every detail worked out before getting in touch.

We can start with where you are now, what you want to achieve and the practical steps involved. I’ll explain the photography process and help you understand what needs to be planned, so you can approach the shoot with confidence.

Let’s plan your BHA collection

Tell me which category you’re considering, any ideas you have and when you’d like to shoot. If you’re still working those things out, that’s a good place to start too.
