“Nubians” is a visual ode to the beauty and resilience of Afro and textured hair, envisioned under the creative direction of Errol Douglas MBE.  This collection, crafted by the Fellowship of British Hairdressing 2024 FAME team, draws inspiration from the vibrant hues of desert landscapes—fiery yellows, deep oranges, and rich reds merging with the intense blues of a boundless sky. 

Against this backdrop of elemental intensity, the fashion emerges in stark contrasts of black or white, sculpting bold and intriguing silhouettes.  Each image weaves together the stark elegance of these forms with the powerful, cultural echoes of Nubian heritage, creating an artful fusion of colour, light, shadow, and texture.”
